Yes, you too can bring the christmas spirit into your household with blue LEDs

If you don't know where to buy LEDs or how to wire them, read my Home LED wiring tutorial. Essentially, we purchased a 2.1mm x 5.5mm plug and socket at Radio Shack, LEDs online, and 20 gauge wire/Molex .100 KK Housings & Terminals/ resistors at Frys.

We drilled a hole into the back of the creche, installed the plug, mounted our new plug on the severed wire end of an old 6v AC/DC adaptor we found in the garage, and then went to work wiring the LEDs on the interior ceiling of the creche. Six 20mA LEDs from ledsupply.com were used, and we put them all in parallel--each with its own 150ohm resistor. The LEDs were spread out to distribute the light evenly across the floor of jesus' birthshack. The little dude is now bathed in highly efficient blue light which is so low on the spectrum that it causes neon objects to fluoresce.
